GILAD
"God has pity on kindergarten children,
He pities school children - less.
But adults he pities not at all.
He abandons them,
And sometimes they have to crawl on all fours
In the scorching sand
To reach the dressing station,
Streaming with blood"
(Yehuda Amichai)
Life cannot pass you by without feeling the pain of the situation.
The army shoe in to which you put your foot without hesitation when it was your time to enlist, became your personal prison.
"They will return from the land of the enemy" (Jeremiah 31, 16)
We pray for the day, when the issues regarding the redemption of prisoners, will no longer be a relevant part of our everyday life.
May the day not be far off when it will be a pleasure for me to meet you.
Amen.
